Summer Days

I just wanted to give you all a heads up on where we stand on the mileage thus far this summer.  I understand that the last few days have had some crazy heat.  I understand that you might not want to go and run a great deal of miles (I know I don’t, but I do because I am crazy like that).  Those days are great days for getting out and riding your bike and making use of the 3mile of biking equals 1mile of running change.  Has of right now we have only one runner (reporting their miles) on pace to hit their individual mileage goal.  There are other that are close and can still make that goal.  Also, it was great seeing a great deal of our runners at the race in Arlington on Saturday but there was a large number of people that did not report those miles.  Also if you are reporting your miles on Runningahead you need to make your log viewable to the Administration for the group this lets Coach Schroeder and Coach Pederson see your miles.  Finally we still can make the TEAM mileage goal as of now we have 70+ runners signed up as interested in Cross Country which means that we would only need 130miles per person.  This means the older athletes that want to be a captain need to take charge and get groups together so we can make this goal.  Those of you who have been in this sport know that the better shape you come in the first day the better the season goes.  This year is all about the TEAM.  As a TEAM we can do great things, everybody counts in a TEAM.
