It is tough to see the senior class wrap up the cross-country careers, as expected they capped off their careers in style with MRC championships all the way around.  They were excellent role models for our younger kids and formed important connections with their teammates which will be remembered for years.   These seniors have been part of big changes in the Cross-country program and were big contributors to our success.

End of Season Pot Luck

Come celebrate a fabulous season with us on Sunday November 8th at the high school lunch room starting at 6:00 pm.  We will be enjoying a terrific meal and celebrating the successes of another great year of Tiger Cross-country.

State

Emily will be running at St. Olaf college in Northfield on Saturday November 7th at 1:00 pm.  We will be taking a bus so any teammates that wish to ride along and watch may come with us.  The bus will leave at 11:00 am.

Section 2A

The girls finish 3rd their best finish ever.  They were led by Emily Berger crossing the line in a state qualifying 6th place with a new season best of 19:55.  Alissa Schultz was next across the line in 20:51 close behind was Jordyn Williams in 21:37 with Cassie Stolt 21:38 and Danika Schroeder 21:40 following.  McKenna Herrmann ran a 21:52 and Rebecca Brueggemeier 22:04 to wrap up their season.  Four of the seven ran personal bests and all including our reserves Trinity Webb and Sophie Mewes are on the top ten list of fastest 5k times in the history of Belle Plaine Cross-country.  The girls ran a very good race just missing out on a state meet birth to two very good opponents.

The boys ended an outstanding season with a 4th place finish led by Dylan Bigaouette in 17:29.  Elliot Rudd was next in 17:34, followed by Kyle Siemon 17:57.  Sam Gregory finished in 18:00 with Ben Hunsader right behind him in 18:17.  Kellen Bergs ran 18:18 and Jack Otto 18:26.  Carter Corl and Taylor Witt were the alternates.  The boys ran well but a team like Jordan with 2 low scoring runners is hard to beat in a big race.
