Half way to August 15

Well we are half way done with the summer.  The miles should be piling up and it would be nice to be close to the goal of 9000 miles.  However, we are not.  It is the hope that you are writing your miles down and that at the first day of practice August 15 at 8:00am you have a good deal of miles to add to the total.  The success and growth you saw as runners last year was from the hard work that you put in not only during the season because that just happens, BUT the work and miles that you put in during the summer.  The summer miles makes the first weeks easier and means that you can run those workouts faster which will lead you to getting NEW PR's.

If you are trying to get going try a run streak all it takes is running 1mile to count as a day of running try and get a 20day run streak started.  Also find some inspiration in watching some of the Olympic Trials these people might be crazy fast.  But they show the dedication and drive that makes our sport great.  These people even do some of the same workouts that you do, just faster.  These athletes are laying it all out there to realize a dream just as you might be trying to realize a dream.  So watch and be inspired by these great athletes.

Thank you to all the participants, sponsors, and volunteers that came out on Saturday to make the BPXC color run a success.  There were over 100 participants enjoying a perfect morning for a color run.
