Week One



It was an exciting and inspiring first week.  Running, weight training, pool workout, yoga, triathlon, and more.  13 seniors led the squad through the first week of practice demonstrating each new activity for their younger teammates.  Getting to know each other while working through some early season difficult workouts has been the theme for week one.  The young kids have already seen improvements in the first week while the veteran runners have come in focused and ready to go.  Perhaps the most inspiring part of the week has been talking with each kid about their upcoming season.  They have expressed their desires to continually improve while bond with their teammates and support them so that they might achieve their goals too.  The quality of the individuals which make up the cross-country team is unique.  To be a part of a team where everyone wants their teammates to be successful and strive for their very best is incredibly inspiring.
Pool workout innovation


Monday is our first competition a scrimmage at Baylor Park north of Norwood Young America.  There is a road closure so you will need to follow the detour in order to arrive at the park so give yourself a couple extra minutes.

The races start at 9:00 am with girls 4000m race, boys 4000m is at 9:30, girls 1600 for JH 10:00, boys 1600 JH race starts at 10:10.
