Coed at the Ney Center

The Tiger Cross-country team was well represented at the LeSueur Henderson Coed held at the Ney Center.  The varsity squad finished in second and the JV squad finished in 3rd.  17 runners came away with ne PR's on the 4300 meter course.

Leading the way in the open race were Tyler Bahr in 2nd place and Clay Sauter in 6th.  There were no girls running the open event.  Braydon Setterquist 13th and Hunter Schmidt 14th were the next boys to cross the line followed by senior captain Noah Mewes in 18th place.  Noah Stiemke 23rd and Ryan Bremseth-Vining 24th were next across the line with Alex Meger 27th just behind.  The trio of Derek Guscette 29th, Jaron Funk 30th,  and John Morrison 31st, came next with Blake Rucks 33rd right behind them.  Jace Schoon 35th, and Tommy Sullivan 36th,  were next with the final three runners being Bryce Nelson 40th,  Gabe Bran de Leon 41st,  and Logan Peterson 42nd.

Runing in the JV race were Tristan Cruz 2nd, Ethan Keohavong 6th, Noah Hastings 7th, and Hayden Cody 11th, represented the boys in their 3rd place showing.  Jessica Brueggemeier 25th, led the girls with Kailey Noll 26th, right behind her.  Alexa Lenz 30th, and Emma Reed 32nd, represented the girls in the total score of 136 just behind Sibley East's 134.  The kids ran well competing through the entire race.

In the varsity race senior Derek May led the way in 7th place.  He was followed by Nate Lowering 8th, Stephen LaJeunesse 9th, and Tony Szaroletta 10th.  Rounding out the boys representatives contributing to the 171 point total was Luke Hallgren 12th place.  Jordyn Williams led the girl contingent in 18th place.  She was followed by teammate senior Trinity Webb 23rd.  Jamie Zahn 27th, Hailey Witt 28th, and Thea Iverson 29th pushed each other to a terrific finish.  It was great to get to see these kids compete at the varsity level.  They stepped up and did not back down from their opponents.

In the Junior High competition Rebbeca Brueggemeier finished the 2000 meter course first for the Tigers.  Cade Morrison and Aiden Fogarty were just behind her to lead the boys.  Conor Mulroy and Max Russo were next followed by Brooke McGlinchey.  Jacob Olson, Alec Haege and Calvin Hartman finished next with Teddy Sellnow right behind them.  Greta Steinhagen, Fern Sullivan, and Kate Szarolette rounded out the Tiger representatives.  The Junior High kids have been improving steadily this season and have shown their competitiveness at races.  It is great to watch their progress.
