The Tigers had a terrific showing at there first attempt at the I90 invitational in Fairmont last week.  There were 52 of the 60 kids that ran personal records, it was an incredible showing.  All the hard work and the experience is starting to pay off.

The boys won the varsity 5000 meter race 12 points ahead of 2nd place finisher Worthington.  The boys were led by Dylan Bigaouette running 17:22.  Kellen Bergs 17:24 was right behind him in  followed by Kyle Siemon 17:24.  Fifth runner Sam Gregory ran a 17:38 making their 1-5 split an incredible 16 seconds.  Jack Otto ran a 17:56 finishing in the medals at 22nd place.  Ben Hunsader was the 7th runner just over 18 at 18:05.

The girls finished the same 5000 meter course 32 points behind perennial powerhouse Fairmount and 6 points ahead of Section 2A powerhouse Martin County West to finish in 2nd.  Leading the way for the girls was Emily Berger in 20:07.  Alissa Schultz ran a 20:45 followed by McKenna Herrmann finished in 20:51.  Danika Schroeder was next across the line in 21:42 with Cassie Stolt hot on her heals in 21:52.  Jordyn Williams was close behind in 21:55 with teammate Rebecca Brueggemeier 22:29 rounding out the varsity squad.

It was exciting watching the kids put themselves out there and push themselves to their limits.  We have an outstanding collection of talented tough kids.
